Elements of hip-hop dance

When the hip-hop Style was introduced with the world it had six foundational elements that are Djing, mcing, beatboxing, breakdancing, graffiti and fashion. These elements are the core of hip-hop. Today we see artists performing or practicing these elements to make theit hip-hop game strong

Djing

Djing was starting in 1970’s with its trademark innovative breaks and isolation of the percussive sounds. Now days Djs like dj khalid , marshmallow and skrillex .

Mcing

MCing is a form of poetic and verbal acrobatics. Rapping differed from other popular singing forms because of its rapid-fire wordplay , aggression, rhymes and lyrics that tells their stories.

Beatboxing

Beatboxing is also a part of mcing. Instead of making a track different sounds were made using the mouth to produce beat, tune and bass that suits the rap.

Breakdancing

Breakdancing was started with groups like Shaka Zulu Kings, Zulu Queens, and the Rock Steady Crew. These dancers gave rise to breakdancing, otherwise known as B-Boying or B-Girling.

Graffiti

Graffiti is a creative style of painting made on walls, building, and on many other objects. It is made by using spray paints.

Fashion

An element has changed alot over the years in fashion aspects of hip-hop. Perfect clothing style and fashion matters alot. Suppose you are going to the office and wearing baggy clothes . How would you look ? You’ll look terrible. That’s why fashion is important, having dressing sense is so important.
